DAY 1: MARRAKECH – HIGH ATLAS – TELOUAT KASBAH – AIT BEN HADDOU – OUNILA – OUARZAZATE

Commence your adventure bright and early as your driver/guide collects you from your lodging in Marrakech. We’ll set forth towards Ouarzazate, crossing the awe-inspiring High Atlas mountains. En route, relish the views from the Tizi Ntichka pass, soaring to 2,260 meters, the apex of Morocco. Pause at several scenic vantage points to capture the allure of Berber villages through your camera lens. Our journey then leads us to Telouat Kasbah, where you’ll have leisure time to relish a traditional lunch in the picturesque village. In the afternoon, continue our exploration through the Ounila valley, passing by charming Berber villages nestled amid the mountains. Arrive at Ait Ben Haddou to discover the iconic Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its appearances in numerous films. Conclude the day at a delightful Hotel/Kasbah in Ouarzazate, with meals included (Breakfast & Dinner).

DAY 2: OUARZAZATE – DADES VALLEY – MERZOUGA DESERT – CAMEL RIDE AND NIGHT IN BERBER CAMP

Following breakfast, venture towards the Draa Valley, encountering one of Morocco’s longest rivers. Enjoy picturesque views of kasbahs and Berber villages along the way, as well as the quaint town of the Draa valley. Take some free time for lunch in Nkob or Alnif. We’ll then continue our expedition through Erfoud and Merzouga, entering the vast expanse of the Sahara Desert. Embark on a camel ride into Erg Chebbi, witnessing the mesmerizing sunset over the towering dunes. Arrive at a desert camp, where you’ll spend the night, relishing a traditional Moroccan dinner accompanied by local nomads’ folk songs. Overnight at a luxurious camp in Erg Chebbi.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA DESERT – NOMAD FAMILIES – TISARDMIN – KhAMILA VILLAGE – ERG CHEBBI

Immerse yourself in a day dedicated to the desert. Witness the breathtaking sunrise atop a dune near the camp, offering a truly unforgettable spectacle. After sunrise, return to Merzouga for a hearty breakfast. Explore the Erg Chebbi region, marveling at the towering sand dunes, including the Big Dune of Morocco towering over 250 meters high. Continue along the former Paris-Dakar road, passing through Tissardmin oasis and nomadic settlements. Pause at a viewpoint to admire the expansive Erg Chebbi. Journey to Kamila Village, originally from Mali, where you’ll enjoy a cup of tea accompanied by Gnawa music. Transfer back to your accommodation and enjoy a free afternoon to explore the town or witness the sunset over the dunes. Dinner and overnight stay in the luxury camp.

DAY 4: ERG CHEBBI – RISSANI MARKET – ERFOUD FOSSILS – TODRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY

Bid farewell to the desert after breakfast as we head towards Rissani to visit the bustling market (operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays). Continue to Erfoud, where you’ll explore fossilized marble workshops before journeying to Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves. Reach the majestic Todra Gorges, where the river has sculpted imposing cliff-sided canyons. Enjoy some free time for lunch amidst this breathtaking scenery. Take a short stroll through the gorges to fully appreciate the natural beauty. In the afternoon, proceed to the Dades valley, known as the figs valley, passing by Boumalne Dades to admire the famous “monkey legs.” Dinner and overnight stay in a luxurious Riad in the Dades Gorges.

DAY 5 : DADES GORGES- ROSES VALLEY- PALM GROVES OF SKOURA- HIGHT ATLAS- MARRAKECH

Following breakfast, you’re invited to indulge in one of the most breathtaking panoramas of the Dadès valley from a strategically positioned mountaintop lookout. From this vantage point, the multitude of kasbahs dotting the landscape unfolds before us, each revealing its own unique allure. Our journey continues along winding roads, leading us to various kasbahs of significant tourist interest. Along the renowned “One Thousand Kasbahs Road,” we pause to soak in the splendor of Roses Valley and the expansive Skoura palm grove. Our next destination is Ouarzazate, where we explore the historic Kasbah of Taourirt, once the prestigious residence of the Glaoui or Marrakech pasha. For those intrigued, a visit to the cinema studios and museum is on offer. Lunchtime grants you the freedom to explore the local cuisine at your leisure. In the afternoon, our return voyage to Marrakech takes us through the mountain pass of Tizi Ntichka, punctuated with scenic stops for capturing memorable photographs. As we bid adieu to the lunar landscape, a kaleidoscope of colors unfolds before us. Our arrival in Marrakech is anticipated around 6 pm, where a transfer to the hotel marks the conclusion of our expedition.
