DAY 1 : ARRIVAL TRANSFER TO YOUR HOTEL

Upon your arrival at FES airport, you’ll receive a warm welcome. From there, you’ll be taken to your accommodation where your driver will give you a brief overview of your upcoming tour. Relax and indulge in an evening of dinner and an overnight stay at a beautifully decorated Riad. Keep in mind that this day can be skipped if you prefer to begin your tour directly from the airport or your accommodation.

 DAY 2 : FES DAY SIGHTSEEING

Following breakfast at your accommodation, you’ll embark on an enriching exploration of FES, the spiritual capital and oldest city of the country. Immerse yourself in its vibrant souks, maze-like alleyways, and storied landmarks. Begin with a visit to the Royal Palace gate, symbolizing the transition between new and old Fes. Then, delve into the Jewish quarter and Morocco’s first ever Mullah. The itinerary continues with a tour of culturally and historically significant sites including the renowned Al Qaraouine University, the Tanneries, and the Attarine museum. After a satisfying lunch, discover the charm of Fes el Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage site adorned with ancient alleyways and monuments like Medersa Bou Inania and Bab Boujloud, the medina’s principal gateway. This district is a haven for shoppers, boasting an array of local craftsmanship from colorful Moroccan slippers to intricate leatherwork and vibrant glass lamps. Later in the day, explore the modern city before retiring to your Hotel/Riad for the night.

DAY 3 : FES – IFRAN – AZROU – MIDELT

after enjoying a hearty breakfast, we set out from fes to commence an enthralling voyage through the magnificent high atlas mountains, a jewel in morocco’s natural crown. acting as both a historical boundary and a geographical spectacle separating the northern realms from the pre-sahara, our initial destination is ifrane, a meticulously planned city that evokes the charm of switzerland nestled within the middle atlas. our path then winds through the cedar forest, renowned for its majestic trees and the endangered barbary apes that call it home, as we ascend towards azrou, its name meaning “rock” in the local berber tongue. along the way, we’ll traverse scenic byways, unveiling awe-inspiring peaks, well-trodden passes, and idyllic valleys inhabited by berber communities, offering a serene escape from city life. our expedition reaches its zenith in midelt, where we’re treated to panoramic vistas of volcanic formations. nestle into the tranquility of our surroundings as we retire for the night at our hotel/riad, surrounded by the serene beauty of the landscape.

DAY 4 : MIDELT – ERRACHIDIA – MERZOUGA

In the morning early our journey takes us to the enchanting Merzouga desert via the scenic Tizi Ntalghamt pass, where we encounter the beginning of the Tafilalt oases and the picturesque Ziz Valley. As we traverse through varied mountain landscapes transitioning into the captivating desert scenery, we make stops at Errachidia for a delightful lunch, immersing ourselves in Berber hospitality, before continuing our route through Erfoud and Rissani. Along the way, we pause to admire panoramic views of the Ziz Valley. Upon reaching the oasis towns of Erfoud and Merzouga, we embark on a camel ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes, guided by experienced camel handlers. Witness the mesmerizing sunset over the towering dunes before arriving at a luxurious desert camp, where we’ll spend the night. Indulge in a traditional Moroccan dinner accompanied by the melodic tunes of local nomads playing traditional folk songs, making for an unforgettable evening under the starlit desert sky.

 DAY 5 : MERZOUGA Life  -Camel Desert Safari 

Early in the morning, we’ll rise to witness the majestic sunrise before returning to indulge in a sumptuous breakfast at your luxurious desert camp. Today, you’ll have the privilege of immersing yourself in our native land, experiencing firsthand the richness of our lifestyle. Our journey begins with a scenic route around the dunes, leading us to the oasis of Merzouga and the nomadic enclave of Khamlia village, an authentic African settlement. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with the Gnawa people, delving into their vibrant music and unique way of life. Nearby lies the serene Lace of Merzouga, teeming with diverse bird populations, before we continue our exploration to Rissani. Formerly known as Sijilmassa, this historic town once served as a vital meeting point for salt caravans from Mali. Stroll through the bustling souk, brimming with an array of spices, vegetables, and textiles, and savor a local pizza for lunch. Returning to Merzouga, you’ll have leisure time to relax, swim, and reconnect with the desert’s essence before embarking on a camel ride led by skilled camel handlers. Traverse the enchanting Erg Chebbi sand-sea and marvel at the Sahara’s breathtaking beauty. At your nomadic tents, bask in the tranquility of the desert as you witness the mesmerizing sunset over the golden dunes. Dinner awaits in front of the camp, offering you the choice of spending your night under canvas or beneath the twinkling stars. Upon request, we can arrange for Berber nomadic musicians to serenade you with traditional music and lively drumming around the campfire. For added comfort, our camp features modern amenities including western bathrooms and showers.

 DAY 6 : MERZOUGA – TODGHA GORGE – DADS VALLEY

Your camel guide will rouse you bright and early for what promises to be a breathtaking sunrise experience. Ascending the dunes to witness the sunrise in Merzouga is an unforgettable moment etched in the memories of our guests. Afterward, you’ll trek back to the village of Merzouga atop your camel, taking in the ever-changing hues of the magnificent Erg Chebbi sand dunes as the day unfolds. Following breakfast at the Riad, we’ll set off for Dades Valley, also known as the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” passing through Rissani and Erfoud, a region steeped in history and fossil-rich archaeological sites. Our journey continues through Tinghir, offering glimpses of traditional rural life amidst beautifully constructed houses scattered across the expansive oasis. Upon reaching Todra Gorges, marvel at the towering cliffs reaching heights of up to 300 meters, making it one of Morocco’s most awe-inspiring natural wonders. We’ll then traverse Dades Valley, where you’ll encounter majestic sand formations and remarkable rock structures known as “monkey toes,” alongside picturesque Berber villages dotting the landscape. As the day draws to a close, we’ll enjoy the sunset along Tssidrine Road before retiring for the night at a luxurious Riad.

 DAY 7: DADES GORGE – ROSE VALLEY – SKOURA – OUARZAZATE

Following breakfast at the Riad, we embark on a scenic drive through the captivating Dades Valley, an integral segment of the renowned Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Our first stop is Kalaa-Mgouna, known as “the rose city,” celebrated for its annual rose festival. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase locally produced rosewater and a variety of cosmetic products. Continuing our journey, we proceed to Skoura and the bird’s valley, renowned for its mud brick Kasbahs, notably the well-preserved Kasbah Ameridil. After a refreshing hike in the valley, we’ll enjoy lunch at a restaurant offering panoramic views of the entire valley. Our tour then takes us to Ouarzazate, dubbed “the Hollywood of Africa,” where the stunning geography and landscapes have attracted numerous world-class movie producers. You may opt to visit the studios, showcasing props used in famous films such as The Mummy and Gladiator. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Kasbah Taourirt, a notable backdrop in Hollywood productions like Sheltering Sky, Gladiator, and Prince of Persia. Conclude the day with an overnight stay at your luxurious Riad.

 DAY 8 : OUARZAZATE – AIT BENHADDOU – MARRAKECH

Awakening amidst the desert’s tranquility and witnessing the city’s hues transform with the passing day is truly revitalizing. Following breakfast, we’ll journey to the UNESCO-protected Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, renowned as one of the region’s most exquisite. From its vantage point, enjoy breathtaking vistas of the surrounding palm groves. Our route then leads us to Marrakech via the Tizin’tichka pass, with a stopover in the historic town of Telouet to explore its ancient 17th-century Kasbah. Continuing along the Tizin’tichka road, marvel at the picturesque landscapes dotted with Berber villages. Upon reaching Marrakech, indulge in leisure time to explore Djemâa El-Fna square, soaking in its vibrant atmosphere and savoring drinks atop rooftop restaurants with captivating views. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at our chosen Riad/Hotel in Marrakech.

 DAY 9 : EXPLORING MARRAKECH

Marrakesh epitomizes the enchanting charm of Morocco’s North African essence, its very name echoing throughout the country’s history. Accompanied by our knowledgeable local guide, you’ll delve into the city’s rich heritage, beginning with a visit to the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, a testament to our architectural prowess dating back to 1162. Wander through the serene Majorelle Garden, a masterpiece crafted by painter Jacques Majorelle, adorned with an array of cacti, palms, and ferns. Explore the ancient Saadian Tombs, adorned with intricate mosaic tiles, housing the remains of the Saadian dynasty from the 16th century. Admire the resplendent Bahia Palace, showcasing exquisite Eastern architecture dating back to the 19th century. After a leisurely lunch break, immerse yourself in the bustling Souks, the heart of the town’s allure.  DAY 10 : MARRAKECH – ESSAOUIRA 

Following breakfast at your Riad, we embark on a captivating journey to Essaouira, renowned as one of Morocco’s most picturesque seaside towns. Its well-preserved 18th-century seaport fortifications have earned it a prestigious UNESCO World Heritage Site designation. Accompanied by your knowledgeable and certified guide, you’ll discover the essence of Essaouira. Begin your exploration at the Skala Fortress, offering panoramic views of the fishing port and Île de Mogador. Next, delve into the rich history of the region at the Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah Museum, showcasing a diverse collection of jewelry, costumes, woodcarvings, and weaponry. Wander through the labyrinthine alleys of the medina, adorned with countless handicrafts, and soak in the city’s unique ambiance. Essaouira’s reputation as the “City of the Wind” is well-deserved, making it a haven for windsurfing enthusiasts. Our itinerary also includes visits to the Mellah, the historic Jewish quarter, and the serene beachfront. If your visit coincides with the annual Gnawa music festival, held in late June, you have the option to extend your stay and immerse yourself in this vibrant cultural celebration. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch featuring freshly caught fish prepared to perfection.  DAY 11 : ESSAOUIRA – SAFI – OUALIDIA – EL JADIDA – CASABLANCA

 DAY 12 : CASABLANCA – RABAT – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES

After enjoying breakfast, embark on a comprehensive historical tour of Morocco. Our first stop takes us to Rabat, where you’ll marvel at the 12th-century Hassan Tower. Next, explore the Andalusian-style fortress of the Oudaias Kasbah, offering stunning views over Salé and the Atlantic Ocean. Continuing our journey, we’ll arrive in Meknes, an imperial city dating back to the Alawite dynasty, founded by Sultan Moulay Ismail. Here, discover architectural wonders such as the grandiose Bab el-Mansur gateway, the Sahrij Souani Basin, and the intricately decorated Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Following lunch, we’ll head to Volubilis, Morocco’s renowned Roman relic dating back to AD 24-28, renowned for its well-preserved walls and structures. Our final destination is Moulay Idriss, a city nestled among rocky spurs, with buildings cascading down the slopes dramatically. For the devout, this serves as a significant pilgrimage site, hosting an annual religious festival in August. Conclude this enriching day with a journey back to Meknes, where you’ll check in to your Riad for the evening.

 DAY 13 : MEKNES – FES – AIRPORT TRANSFER

 Last day , according to your departure schedule, we will transport you to the airport for your flight or to any other destination of your choice.

Extra Information :

  • 4×4 vehicle can accommodate up to four adult passengers comfortably. 
  • If there are five or more participants, a van will be provided for your tour. 
  • It’s advisable to wear jeans, trousers, or long shorts for a comfortable camel ride in the Merzouga desert. During spring and summer, pick-up from Fes can be arranged flexibly. 
  • Your Merzouga desert camp is equipped with electricity for charging cameras and phones inside your tent. Don’t forget to bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and sturdy walking shoes for the tour.
