DAY 1: FEZ – IFRANE – MIDELT – ERFOUD – ERG CHEBBI

Meet your knowledgeable driver/guide and embark on a journey in a comfortable, air-conditioned 4×4 Jeep car or minivan. Traverse the fertile Saiss plains and delve into the enchanting cedar forests of the Middle Atlas mountain range. Enjoy a refreshing lunch break in Midelt before continuing your exploration along the scenic Ziz River, where verdant palm groves contrast against the backdrop of traditional Moroccan fortresses. Pass through the charming oasis towns of Erfoud and Merzouga, where your camel awaits to transport you into the mesmerizing Erg Chebbi dunes. DAY 2: ERG CHEBBI – ZIZ VALLEY – MIDELT – IFRANE – FEZ

Make the most of your desert experience with an early morning stroll over the dunes to witness the breathtaking sunrise. Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the camp before embarking on the next leg of your journey. Head towards the holy town of Rissani, the birthplace of the esteemed 17th-century ruler Moulay Ali Cherif, founder of Morocco’s ruling Alaouite Dynasty. Continue your expedition to Midelt for a satisfying lunch, then trace the path along the picturesque Ziz River, where ancient kasbahs stand amidst lush palm groves. Traverse the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas and meander through the fertile Saiss plains, rich with native flora and fauna.   • Our 4×4 vehicles are spacious enough for up to 4 adult passengers to travel comfortably. If your group consists of 5 participants or more, we’ll arrange for a van to accommodate everyone during the tour.
  • Ensure your comfort during the camel ride in the Merzouga desert by wearing jeans, trousers, or long shorts.
  • The winter season in the Merzouga desert can be very cold, so remember to pack warm sleeping clothes.
  • Your tent at the Merzouga desert camp is equipped with electricity for charging your cameras and phone.
  • Don’t forget to bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and sturdy walking shoes for this tour.
  • Your ensuite bathroom at the camp comes stocked with bathroom essentials and towels.
